Terms & Conditions
Securing Your Wedding Date
A £50 non-refundable, non-transferable booking fee is required to secure your wedding date. This payment will be deducted from your final balance.
By paying the booking fee, you are agreeing to adhere to the terms and conditions outlined here.
Payments
- Booking Payments: Can be made via bank transfer.
- Trial & Balance Payments: These can be made via bank transfer, cash, or credit/debit card.
Trials
- Bridal trials should be scheduled 8-12 weeks before the wedding.
- Please allow 2 hours for your bridal trial.
- The full trial price is due at the time of the trial, payable via cash or bank transfer.
- If you opt for a trial without securing your wedding date, please be aware that the date may be booked by another client before your trial.
Travel & Parking
- A minimum call-out fee of £5 will be added to all bookings to cover travel expenses. Travel charges will be calculated based on distance and fuel prices at the time of booking.
- Travel over 1 hour or early morning travel (before 5 AM) may incur additional charges to cover lost earnings.
- Please ensure parking is available near the venue as I will be carrying equipment. Any parking charges will need to be paid by the client.
Cancellations
- As wedding makeup bookings are typically made well in advance, cancellations made late are difficult to re-sell. Therefore, the following conditions apply:
- The deposit to secure the date is non-refundable.
- If you have already had your trial, the trial fee will also be non-refundable.
- If you cancel the wedding less than 8 weeks before the date, 50% of the wedding price must still be paid.
- If you cancel less than 2 weeks before the wedding, the full balance will still be due.
- The balance is required to be paid 2 weeks before the wedding.
- In the unlikely event that I am unable to attend due to illness, a replacement makeup artist will be assigned, and any additional costs will be covered by us upon receipt of a professional invoice from the new artist.
Changes to Bridal Bookings
- All changes must be submitted via email to contact@johannaemilymakeupartist.co.uk.
- Changes to the venue or location of the makeup application may result in additional charges.
- Adding extra people, larger bookings, or early ceremony times may require an additional makeup artist, and extra charges will apply.
- Strip lashes are included in bridal prices; however, these are for the bride only. If others in your party wish to use lashes, they will need to bring their own or purchase them separately. Please note, lashes are applied with latex glue, so if you have a latex allergy, inform me in advance.
Prices
- Prices are subject to change. If a booking fee has been paid, your quote will remain valid even if prices change.
- If you have been quoted but have not paid the booking fee, the quote will be honored for 2 days. After this period, any price changes will apply.
- Please note that my prices are carefully calculated to reflect the high-quality products in my kit, time for travel, unsociable hours, advertising, correspondence, and paperwork.
- While I am happy to work with your budget and offer discounts where possible, these are at my discretion. Please refrain from attempting to negotiate on price.
Allergies
- Please make me aware of any allergies or illnesses that may affect your skin or result in a reaction to cosmetic products. If you fail to mention any allergies, I will not be held responsible for any reactions.
- I reserve the right to refuse treatment if I believe there are health and safety concerns related to your condition, such as cold sores, conjunctivitis, etc.
- If the issue is discovered once I have arrived, the full cost of the treatment, including any additional travel charges, will still need to be paid.
Illness
- If you or anyone in your household is unwell, please inform me prior to the appointment. We can then reschedule the appointment without issue.
- If I am not informed, and the appointment goes ahead, I have the right to refuse treatment. In this case, the full payment will still be required.
